Andre Thierry & Zydeco Magic, the recipient of the 2008 West Coast Blues Hall of Fame award for “Best Zydeco Group”, will appear in the Cloverdale Plaza on Friday, July 3. Merging traditional Zydeco music with new influences of hip-hop, blues, jazz and rock, Andre brings his exceptional, multi-dimensional musical talents to the forefront. Dance the night away to an energetic two-step, a traditional Creole waltz or an original hard-driving blues blend that is distinctly Andre Thierry & Zydeco Magic. At 29 years-old, Thierry is already considered a legend among Zydeco musicians and fans alike for his original compositions and mastery of the single row, double row, triple row and piano key accordions. Steeped in the deep roots of his Louisiana French Creole heritage, Thierry was influenced by such notable Delta musicians as Houston Pete Pitre (Pa-Pa as they called him), and the late great Clifton Chenier.
