June 25 - Orgone, sponsored by Antiques & Uniques, Hanna Winery and Long Gamma Wines
With funk, soul, afrobeat, and deep rhythms, Orgone is known for searing live sets and original instrumentals. RELIX magazine says, "Their music is terrifically unfussy, big slabs of grizzled R&B, greasy as fatback and …recalls the majesty of Sly & the Family Stone."
July 2 - Bill Noteman & the Rockets, sponsored by Century 21/Les Ryan Realtors & Lone Oak Winery
A unique, high energy blend of Chicago blues and rock and roll known as West Coast Jump. The Rockets do the classic "roadhouse sound" and fire out big time on great dance floor shuffles that get people out dancing. Raw expressive vocals, searing harmonica, sizzling guitar and cooking keys dipped in the sauce of a smoldering rhythm section.
July 9 - Mark Stuart & the Bastard Sons, sponsored by Ron & Jane Pavelka/Frank Howard Allen & Trentadue Winery
This Austin, Texas based band brings a toe-tapping, boot-scootin' affair that burns up the road with a high-octane groove in the spirit of Country Outlaws Willie, Waylon, Merle, and the Man in Black. July 16 - SambaDa, sponsored by Redwood Credit Union, deLorimier Winery & Reynoso Vineyards
Mixing contemporary sounds with the roots of Brazilian culture, Santa Cruz based SambaDa has an irresistible samba-reggae-funk style with universal appeal that gets people up and dancing. SambaDá musically unites the Americas, drawing from percussion based styles of South and Central America, and blends it with funk and reggae back beat familiar to North Americans.
July 23 - Lavay Smith & Her Red Hot Skillet Lickers, sponsored by A&M Satellite/Dish Network & Trione Winery
This San Francisco based band will bring a night of sultry vocals and classic jazz and swing blues. With an authentic style from the 1940's and 1950's, Lavay Smith has a lush vocal style recalling Bessie Smith and Dinah Washington. Lavay Smith is said to be the best thing to come out of the jump/swing revival. With her impassioned vocals, Lavay Smith inspires and entertains.
July 30 - Steve Pile Band - sponsored by Exchange Bank & Foppiano Vineyards
With the down home voice of a country crooner, and a sweet deep-roots style of music, Steve Pile is a real crowd pleaser. The Healdsburg native brings his own hybrid of blues, rock and melodic African guitar music, all topped off with a little cowboy swagger.
