Do you have an idea in your head or a sketch under your bed? Is there a great photo in your digital files? Or, has one of your kids or grandkids produced a stellar art creation? Past participants have created athletic shoes, peaceful blue lakes, odd creatures, bright flowers, intriguing portraits, a horseshoe chair and an intriguing truck photo.
Preparation: Please deliver art ready to hang.
- Wall art should have screw eyes and picture wire to secure art to wall. Ace Hardware sells small and medium screw eyes and twisted picture wire. Ask any employee.
- Children's' Art on Paper may be backed by colored construction paper only. Add a string taped on the back at each end to hang lightweight pieces. Works can also be framed with wire attached as described above.
- Three-dimensional freestanding art should be securely fastened to a pedestal in the gallery. Bring your own pedestal or make arrangements for using a gallery pedestal upon delivery.
Make this autumn different from others. Hang a piece of your art at First Street Gallery to share with your friends and neighbors, and discover who in the community that you know is a closet-artist. If you choose to sell, you may be surprised who buys it. If you choose to keep it, you'll have bragging rights.
