History of the Cloverdale Arts Alliance

The Cloverdale Arts Alliance (CAA) is a grass-roots, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the arts in Northern Sonoma County. CAA's goal is to stimulate creative expression, artistic awareness, and to enrich the greater Cloverdale area by offering art education programs for children and adults, and art events. Also, to increase local and county awareness of the many talented artists in Sonoma County. Launched in 2001 with a 501(c) 3, CAA has added a new vitality and visibility to our city and Northern Sonoma County.

Our major programs include Friday Night Live, a summer-long free concert series know throughout Northern California, and the internationally known Cloverdale Annual Sculpture Exhibit. Other programs include arts and lecture series, THE Jazz Club, Real Flicks and concerts. Most of the programs are held at the Cloverdale Center for Arts, which also houses the Gallery (204 N. Cloverdale Boulevard). The gallery is a co-op that showcases local artists and visiting Sonoma County artists at changing exhibits. For additional information on these programs and the gallery, explore the rest of our site.

The Alliance is run and staffed by volunteers and depends on affiliates, donations and sponsorship to encourage local artists, and promote the arts in general.
