Clay Sculpture

Beginning on November 16, the Cloverdale Arts Alliance is pleased to present two Clay Sculpture Classes; morning class for adults, and an after-school class for children.

After-school Children’s Clay Sculpture Classes
This fun class will introduce various methods and techniques used in working with clay. Children will produce projects that will be treasured, such as wild animals, people, pets, garden scenes, and holiday themes. A new session will resume in January!

  • Mondays from 3:30-5:00pm (November 16, 23, 30, December 7, 14)
  • Cost is $85 for the entire course (5 weeks), includes all clay, use of tools, glazes and firings

Daytime Adult Clay Sculpture Classes
This class will introduce the various methods and techniques used in working with clay. Space, form, mass and the elements of art will be considered to create a 3-dimensional piece of artwork. A new session will resume in January!

  • Mondays 9:30am-12:00pm (November 16, 23, 30, December 7, 14, 21)
  • Cost is $270 for the entire course (6 weeks), includes all clay, use of tools, glazes and firings

The instructor for these courses is Sharon Kozel, who has been teaching clay sculpture at various schools, art centers, and art galleries in Sonoma County for over 30 years. Sharon has a B.A. in art from Barat College in Lake Forest, IL. Her classes cover beginning, as well as, the more advanced student.

These art courses are programs of the Cloverdale Arts Alliance, a non-profit arts organization bringing cultural arts to Northern Sonoma County.
