Discovering Art

The series will focus on 60 of the best paintings in the world, as selected by Professor William Kloss.

The earliest works start in the 14th  century and end up in the 1960’s. He chooses his favorites, works that have a unique first impact when viewed. When viewed multiple times, they continue to resonate on an emotional and intellectual level. These paintings need to be “read” carefully, looking at color, brushstroke, shapes, compositions, emotional impact.

The crowd is friendly, the illustrated lectures are superb, and a glass of wine always enhances the experience.

Attend all classes, or choose the ones that interest you the most. DISCOVERING ART is meant for a wide audience, from those who are discovering art for the first time to those who have experienced art their entire lives and realize that it is a journey of constant discovery.
