Bobby Lee’s “Stella” CD Release Party

at The Cloverdale Arts Alliance on November 20

Cloverdale, CA Cloverdale Arts Alliance

On Thursday, November 20, the Cloverdale Arts Alliance is pleased to present the CD Release Party for Bobby Lee's new solo album "Stella".

Stella is a traditional folk album, recorded without overdubs or studio wizardry. It features country, blues and Hawaiian music played lap style on a 1960's Harmony Stella guitar.  Bobby says "This guitar took hold of me. It had been sitting in someone's closet for nearly 50 years, waiting to produce these sounds. I've been an electric musician almost all my life, but this instrument grabbed me and took me back to my roots."

Bobby Lee is owner/operator of The Steel Guitar Forum, the world's largest web site for steel guitarists, and is in the European Steel Guitar Hall of Fame. He performs in Sonoma County with several bands, including The Rhythm Rangers, Clusterfolk, The Country All-Stars, Laughing Gravy, and Cloverdale's own country/rock band CopperMill.

For this show Bobby will be accompanied by bassist & songwriter Dean Wilson. In addition to the Stella songbook, they will play some songs from Dean's upcoming album on Jackalope Records.

The Cloverdale Arts Alliance is located at 204 N. Cloverdale Blvd. Tickets are available at the door for $10 and $15 (includes a CD). Doors open at 6:30 pm; music from 7:00 – 9:00 pm.
