THE Jazz Club
THE Jazz Club Continues on December 5, 2019 with Paula Harris
On Thursday, December 5, the Cloverdale Arts Alliance will continue THE Jazz Club season with “An Evening in December” with Paula Harris.
“An Evening in December” with Paula Harris is truly a holiday show for the sophisticated ear. Featuring the styles of Anita Baker, Luther Vandross, Nat “King” Cole, Ledisi, Diana Krall, Donny Hathaway, Aretha Franklin, Diane Reeves, Charles Brown, Dinah Washington, Jeffrey Osborne, Chaka Kahn, Louie Jordan, Bette Midler, Frank Sinatra, Diane Schuur, Dean Martin and many other jazz, blues, & soul arrangements of seasonal favorites both classic and new.
Paula Harris is a multiple music award nominee and winner including a Blues Music Award and NINE Northern California Entertainers and Music Award nominations. She was also voted the 2018 “Best Female Vocalist in Northern California.” The press frequently compares Paula to Etta James, Dinah Washington, Ruth Brown and Sarah Vaughan for her ability to sing the full spectrum of Jazz, Blues and Soul.
Paula’s band will include some of California’s most sought after musicians, who have worked with the likes of Herbie Hancock, Fantastic Negrito, Larry Graham, Greg Allman, Chaka Kahn, and more. These powerhouses have teamed up to create a fantastic holiday show with “a bit more oomph”. “An Evening in December” features a piano, bass, drum and female vocals.
