THE JAZZ CLUB: Pamela Rose and Terrence Brewer
Thursday, December 4 | 7:30–9:30 PM
Cloverdale Arts Alliance Gallery, 204 N. Cloverdale Blvd
The Cloverdale Arts Alliance is pleased to welcome back Pamela Rose and Terrence Brewer to THE Jazz Club!
Jazz guitarist Terrence Brewer called on jazz and blues vocalist Pamela Rose to lovingly rejoice in the vocal/guitar duo work of Ella Fitzgerald and Joe Pass from 1970. Swinging and intimate, supple and urgent, their recording Don’t Worry ‘Bout Me – Remembering Ella & Joe is a jazz lover’s dream.
Rose and Brewer enjoy performing in this stripped-down, duo format. Appearing in front of audiences at both SFJAZZ and Monterey Jazz Festivals, these longtime music collaborators and friends are giving mainstream jazz lovers a genuine treat.
Long-time music scribe David Becker has proclaimed Terrence Brewer as “the San Francisco Bay Area’s #1 jazz guitarist.” Small wonder – this multiple-award-winning guitarist is a first-call and in-demand bandleader, record producer, concert performer, studio musician, and one of the San Francisco Bay Area’s foremost and sought-after music educators.
Pamela Rose is a San Francisco jazz and blues vocalist who has thrilled audiences worldwide with her swinging, soulful style. Rose’s rich, bold, warm voice and easy rapport with musicians thrill audiences of all ages.
Doors open at 7:00 pm. Music starts at 7:30 pm.
