Celebration. Community. Culture.

CLOVERDALE PRIDE

Pride is love lived out loud. It is a community that knows exactly who it is, and refuses to be anything else. It is, in a town like ours, a culture that appreciates, and a community that celebrates.

In Cloverdale, that community has shaped our galleries, our stages, our boulevard, and the heartbeat of this town, With love, with gratitude, and with the doors wide open.

Cloverdale Pride Weekend is presented in June by the Cloverdale Arts Alliance, with the Cloverdale Performing Arts Center, the Cloverdale Chamber of Commerce, and The Beet Restaurant and Wine Lounge.

THURSDAY

THURSDAY •

“TO WONG FU” AT CPAC

Thursday, June 18 | 6:00 PM | Cloverdale Performing Arts Center

To kick off Cloverdale Pride Weekend, CPAC presents the 1995 cult classic To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar—the story of three drag queens (Patrick Swayze, Wesley Snipes, and John Leguizamo) whose cross-country road trip strands them in a small town that turns out to be exactly where they were meant to be.

It is a film about glamour, about chosen family, and about what happens when a community discovers it is more itself with you in it than without.

Doors open at 6:00 with a reception—wine, hors d'oeuvres, and the company of the people who make this town what it is. The film begins at 7:00.

Come early. Dress fabulously. Tickets coming soon.

FRIDAY

FRIDAY •

FRIDAY NIGHT LIVE FT. EARL THOMAS

Friday, June 19 | 7:00 PM | The Plaza

Pride takes the Plaza. Earl Thomas, Grammy-nominated bluesman, gospel-rooted singer-songwriter, and, in his own words, the first openly gay bluesman in the 200-year history of the genre, brings his band to Cloverdale for a Friday Night Live we have been waiting all summer for.

Thomas has written for Etta James, Tom Jones, Solomon Burke, and Screamin' Jay Hawkins. He has shared the stage with B.B. King, Aretha Franklin, and Gladys Knight.

Free. Outdoors. All ages welcome. Bring a chair, a friend, and an appetite, and your dance moves.

This is going to be a show to remember.

DANCE PARTY AT “THE BEET”

Friday, June 19 | 9:00 PM | The Beet

Cloverdale Pride Weekend continues one block off the Plaza, where The Beet's Friday Night Dance Party, already one of the most beloved nights downtown, gets the full Pride treatment.

A DJ, a dance floor, light bites from the kitchen, an exceptional wine list, cold beer, and a room full of friends and neighbors. It's the perfect way to ride the high of Friday Night Live straight into the best part of the night.

Bring your best moves. Bring your favorite people.
