Art Courses for Adults and Children

The Cloverdale Arts Alliance is pleased to present Adult and Children's Art Classes. The instructor for these courses is Sandra Novia, who has been teaching art for over 30 years. In addition to the Cloverdale Arts Alliance, Sandra currently is teaching in Sonoma County in public and private schools, public libraries, Sonoma State University’s Youth Excel Program, Healdsburg Center for the Arts, and with home schooled children.

Summer Children's Art Camp

“Art in Nature”

- Dates: July 3 to 7 (excluding July 4)
- Children ages 6-12 (limited to a total of 10 students)
- Cost is $170 for the four days
- (10% sibling discount is offered after first full price student in the family.)

Looking for something for the kids to do this summer? The Cloverdale Arts Alliance is hosting a four day “Art in Nature” Summer Art Camp, focused on various art media sure to unleash your child’s creativity. “Art in Nature,” held July 3 to 7 (excluding July 4) from 10 am to 2 pm, will include painting, drawing and sculpting, using nature as inspiration. Instructor, Sandra Novia will conduct classes in the studio and out in nature. The week will end with an art show for family and friends. Closed toe shoes for nature walks required and students are asked to bring a lunch. The first class will meet at The Gallery, 201 N. Cloverdale Boulevard.

Novia has been teaching art for over 30 years. In addition to her work with the Cloverdale Arts Alliance, she is currently teaching in Sonoma County public and private schools, public libraries, Sonoma State University’s Youth Excel Program, Healdsburg Center for the Arts and works with home schooled children. The camps are designed for a total of 10 children ages 7 to 12 and cost $170 for the four days, July 3 to 7 (excluding July 4). Evening Art Classes for Adults

Wake up the inner artist or reawaken the forgotten artist in you; all levels are welcome! We will explore an assortment of mediums and tools, including Pencil, Charcoal, Ink, Collage, Gauche, Acrylic Paint, and more. Learn about different tools and new techniques. Come inspired, leave experienced!! Course will include Drawing, Painting, and Collage. A material list will be supplied prior to the start of the course.

- Cost is $250 for the entire course, plus materials
- 10% family discount applies. Includes Children’s Art Course

Children's Art Class

“Drawing, Painting, Collage, Assemblage & More”

- Dates: Tuesdays 3:30-5:30 (classes will resume September 5)
- Grades 3-12 (limited to a total of 10 students)
- Cost is $250 for the entire course, plus $15 materials fee
- (10% family discount applies, including participation in Adult Arts Course)

In this fun-packed general art class, students will be introduced to Drawing, Painting, Collage, Assemblage, and more.
